Announcing Improvements to ConsumerConnection.com

The business model used at ConsumerConnection.com is unlike those used at other Ratings & Reviews websites. One big difference is ConsumerConnection.com is funded entirely by the founder, me.  My wife has begun calling herself a Venture Capitalist.  If that is true, I hope her next deal is more lucrative.

Our members enter information about a business they want to rate before they rate it by completing a satisfaction survey and then adding text comments.  This has been a bit cumbersome and some potential members were unwilling to look up addresses, phone numbers and other data, enter it into our database, and then rate the business.  So I have just made a change that removes that burden from current and potential members.

Beginning now, all a user has to do after signing up is add the company’s name, select the city and state from a drop down box, and select the type of business, and he or she is ready to rate their experience with the business.  I will add the other information on the business after the review has been submitted.  This improves the value equation for members who wish to rate a business, and the greater number of businesses that have been rated increases the value for members that want to research reviews by other consumers.
